
Tamina (Stencil) Beginner Masterclass
Meet your instructor, Tamina is an illustration artist, art instructor and professional face and body artist. She studied Illustration at Pratt Manhattan New York. She has a strong background in Graffiti and Urban art. Here's the overview of the class agenda:
Face Painting Fundamentals:
•Introduction to stencils, materials and tools
•Basic techniques and tipsÂ
Simple designs demonstration of easy face painting designs using stencils, such as:
•Texture using stencils on a Dino eye
•Graffiti eye with stencil elements
•Simple Spiderman eye adding stencil for comic book feel.
•Fairy design using stencil as fairy
•Mermaid design using stencil as silhouette mermaid
•Alien Design using stencils to create a galaxy scene on the arm
Step-by-Step Instructions:
•Detailed guidance on methods to apply the stencil and position it and tips on using water and tools.
Tips and Tricks:
•Common pitfalls to avoid like too much water or stencil moving around and it smears and doesn't get a good print
•Troubleshooting advice
Q&A and Practice Time:
•Opportunity to ask questions
•Hands-on practice with guidance
•List of recommended face painting supplies
Products needed:
1.Face Paint: Choose high-quality, water-based paints. Onestroke and rainbow cakes. A black and a white paint for details. Wolfe white and Black and Paradise White and Black or similar paints to those.
2.Brushes: 3, 4 and or 6 Rounds, 3/4" & 1/2 flats, Filbert Brushes Small and Medium and/or angled brushes for one stroke and detail brushes.
3.Sponges: (Variety)For applying base colors and blending.
4.Water: For cleaning brushes and activating paint. For Stencils (Daubers finger and rounds, kabuki brush, regular teardrop shape sponges)
5.Glitter: For adding sparkle (optional)
6.Stencils: For creating designs Variety( Scales for Dino, Graffiti stencils, Fairy face stencil,Graffiti Dots stencil for spidey eye, mermaid whole body stencil, outer space or galaxy like stencils)
