5 DOs and DON'Ts in the Hustle Game:
DOs:
1. Build systems and patterns
2. Simplify designs, know your speed, learn to edit
3. Use industry tools (don't reinvent the wheel!)
4. Keep creative control, ask for input less
5. Shorten transitions-Layer the stepsÂ
DON'Ts:
1. Paint bad, short change the customer, freestyle
2. Ignore people
3. Put speed vibe on others, pay faster, climb and dismount, etc.Â
4. Run yourself into the ground, pay attention to your mood/ biochem/anger
5. Skip the mirror

- Paint a favorite design (princess crown) clock the time.
- Repaint in 5 min
- Repaint in 3 min

Laura Pennock, also known as The Fairy Fox, is on a mission to help people feel seen and celebrated. Whether she’s face painting, twisting balloons, decorating with henna, teaching, or creating pottery, her work is always inspired by nature and driven by a desire to connect with fellow enthusiasts.
Specializing in whimsical fantasy and animal-inspired designs, Laura primarily works at pay-per-face festivals, bringing joy and color to events with her imaginative art.
Laura’s work has been featured on platforms such as YouTube, Skillshare, Facepaint.com, FABA TV, and the 2020 Summit. She also offers one-on-one Zoom classes for those interested in learning directly from her. You may have met Laura in person at events like FABAIC (2022), MAX (2023), ACE (2023), Kapital Kidvention (2022, 2023), or at one of the many workshops she has led across the country. Her talents have earned her awards in speed painting, team balloon twisting, and the ever-challenging “All the Balloons” contests.
